Description
Never change batteries again and avoid catastrophic battery leaks on your pinball machines’ circuit boards! This module replaces the obsolete 5101 RAM chip on your pinball and allows you to remove the batteries while still preserving your high scores and game adjustments and settings.
This is “Dual CE” compatible, which means it correctly implements the logic of the two “Chip Enable” lines that some pinball machines use, and some NVRAM vendors do not support in their products.
All NVRAM modules are comprehensively tested with multiple passes on our custom microprocessor controlled test fixture, which not only tests every bit of the memory but also powers the chip down after each write and before each read. This is a test that conventional RAM testers can’t do and is important to ensure that every bit of the memory will work reliably when it’s in your pinball machine.
Stern boards had the 5101 RAM chip in an IC socket, so removal and replacement is easy, with no soldering required!

Customers have reported issues with sound in Meteor games with these NVRAM modules installed. A ROM update may be required to use these modules without issue.
